I thought it would be a good idea to set up this blog to provide a space for us to get to know each other better before our reunion next May. I've never done a blog before so you'll forgive me if my first entry is rather brief.
Here's what I hope people will contribute:
stories or memories from our days at Runkle- our teachers, friends etc.
summary of the last 50 plus years since we were all together in one place
It would be so interesting to learn where people have located and what their passions are.
And of course pictures.
I have some great ones from those days and wonder if there is anyone locally (I'm in Newton, MA) who would like to scan them to jpegs for me. My little printer is really limited but maybe someone out there has a dynamite scanner and the time to help me out with this project.
Plans for the reunion-
I have exchanged emails with the vice Principal and we may be able to have our lunch at Runkle during reunion and get a brief tour of the school. Trust me, it's a lot different from what you may remember. The quadrangle area is gone and you can imagine how modern it is now. But I think it would be fun to gather there.
We're still looking for a place to hold our DINNER. Susan Aronoff Wolkon and I think it would be best to have it at someone's house. Right now we still need to find out how many of you will be coming and then we can try to find a BIG house for all of us. If you have any ideas, please share them here.
You can check out my website at www.alimanskygallery.com. Please send any websites etc. along with your blog comments.
I really hope lots of you will come to reunion.
